Please join at the Agua Hedionda Lagoon Foundation to help out with a trail or other outdoor project.  Wear clothing and shoes appropriate for outdoor work on the trails or on the grounds.  Lunch will be provided for all volunteers.

Mary and Bob Meigs have been supporting this amazing school for years, through their Foundation, but also through personal student mentoring and hands-on help at the school. Find out why this school, that serves underprivileged students, has such an outstanding reputation and why its students have a graduation and subsequent success rate that exceeds the results of standard public schools.

Also -- come to hear our exchange student, Fem Govers, recap her year in Carlsbad. She'll be returning home soon afterwards, so this is your chance to wish her bon voyage.

Help provide and serve food to underprivileged at Holiday Park.

Fill-A-Belly holds a weekly dinner at Holiday Park in Carlsbad under a gazebo with lighting that covers
6 cement picnic tables where guests can sit and eat. We will set up dinner to be served at an adjacent cement
table and serve approximately 60 people.  We will be providing and serving the food and will be responsible for clean-up afterwards.

Eliot Weitz will lend us his expertise and experience in avoiding internet scams. Come learn how to protect your identity and your assets.

Happy hour at Black Rail in La Costa. Don't drink? No problem!! Our happy hours are for everyone. We make sure that there are some yummy menu options for appetizers or dinner.

Can't wait to hear about this organization! Their mission is to inspire, educate, and empower system-affected and homeless youth to achieve academic success through music education, sound engineering and multimedia production.

Join us for happy hour at Norte Mexican Restaurant. It ends at 6 -- and then, whoever wants to get their feet wet and sandy can walk down to the beach.  Tide will be reasonably low for a nice walk.
 

We will be treating our senior Mom's to a special Mother's Day gift by assembling and delivering flowers to the women who attend lunch at the Carlsbad Senior Center on Thursday May 7th.  We need just a few volunteers to help assemble the flowers (bud vase, flowers, ribbon and Happy Mother's day tag) and distribute to the senior Mom's at lunch.

This is the craniofacial clinic in Tecate that our club has participated in for a number of years. The spring clinic always starts the third Thursday in May. Dave Tweedy and Jan Zachry are the mainstays of this clinic. Others who would like to attend need to inform Dave two weeks in advance so that he can arrange appropriate job duties.

Meet at the C-Bar on State Street for Happy Hour. Happy Hour prices are from 4-6pm that night only (and just for us!) but feel free to stay after to enjoy the delicious food and drinks and camaraderie with our club members.Thanks to Natilee Meacham for setting it up!

This is our big project. An epic project... where we will build 20 beds for Carlsbad/North County kids who don't have them.  They are sharing beds or, more likely, sleeping on the floor. Let's give them a good night's sleep! Get excited to make a big impact!

We will be cutting wood, sanding, staining, drilling. If hands-on work like this is not for you, you can still help by donating twin size sheets, blankets, comforters, and pillows. 
Bring to any Rotary meeting prior to May 16.

Debbie Friedman will present on her new book and her history as one of the first women lifeguards in California. She will be accompanied by Patty Mackle, who many of us know as the head of Junior Lifeguards in Carlsbad.

The theme will be Hawaiian so please wear festive island Aloha attire. 

Food will be catered by L&L Hawaiian BBQ in Carlsbad. BYOB for wine or spirits. Water will be provided.

Join us for our first Sip & Service event, combining fellowship, fun, and community impact. We'll gather at Weir Beer, one of our valued Carlsbad Wine & Food Festival partners (home of the memorable "Haterade"), while supporting local nonprofit Words Alive!

Arrive anytime between 5:00 PM and 5:30 PM to socialize and enjoy time with fellow Rotarians. The service project will begin at 6:00 PM, when we'll assemble learning kits for children and families served by Words Alive!

A food truck will be on site for those who would like to purchase dinner or snacks. Rotary will provide all materials needed for the service project; food and beverages will be the responsibility of each attendee
