Our Club’s “Day of Giving” program, led by Sandy Silva, featured Melissa Kay, Development Director of Interfaith Community Services.
Melissa gave an inspiring overview of the wide range of support Interfaith provides throughout Carlsbad and North County. These services touch nearly every corner of our community and include food and basic needs, substance use treatment, housing and shelter, employment and economic development, veteran services, senior support, scholarships, and a Transitional Youth Academy for young people seeking a fresh start.
It was eye-opening to see the depth and breadth of their impact—and a perfect reminder of why partnerships like this matter. At the close of her presentation, Sandy and Club President Roy Meenes had the privilege of presenting Melissa with a $4,000 donation check on behalf of the Club. It was a proud moment that reflects our shared commitment to supporting those who need it most.
