Annual adopt a family event helps spread holiday cheer.
Members of the Rotary Club of Carlsbad spent the day helping Lifeline Community Services with its Adopt a Family program on Dec. 7. President Roy -- um, we mean "Santa" -- came along to spread good cheer to all the generous families who donated gifts to families in need. Thanks to this program, kids are going to wake up to a brand new bike, toys and games, while parents will be well-stocked on the staples and have gift cards to buy something special. Thanks to all our volunteers for another inspiring day of service!
