Our speaker this evening was Ricky Harris, owner for 108 Athletics. He is originally from Connecticut, and has been in San Diego for 7 years. Ricky is a former outdoor educator and Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) and has been a life-coach (like Tony Robbins, he says) for 7 years.

As an EMT, Ricky noticed that most people who need emergency services are late medical conditions – they leave it too long to correct their problems. He quoted Maya Angelou: “Your legacy is every life you’ve touched, every person whose life was either moved or not. It’s every person you’ve harmed or helped, that’s your legacy.”
Meaning of 108: There are 108 gopis of Vrindavan. Recital of sacred names during religious ceremonies is often accompanied by the counting of a 108-beaded japa mala, which usually has beads for 108 repetitions of a mantra.

Ricky spoke about various levels of Attitude, Competency and Effort.  One might be unconsciously or consciously incompetent or competent. The Flow of Change is Initiation, Deception, Transformation and the development of Character/Identity. His course includes goals for each person with skills to develop. The more you know about your bad habits, the easier it is to change. You don’t need weights to develop strengths.  Ricky says that, a year from now, once you understand the program, you’ll wish you had started today.

Says one person on Facebook, "Ricky gave us challenging and appropriate exercises to better build up our abilities and muscles. He has great solutions and support for eating better as well. HIGHLY recommend him!"

Ricky has a private studio in Vista, and loves what he does.
